Please read these terms carefully as they apply to the terms on which Reconciliation NSW agrees to offer you membership.

By registering to be a member of Reconciliation NSW (Reconciliation NSW Member) you agree to comply with these terms of use. Reconciliation NSW may amend these terms of use at any time. Your continued membership of Reconciliation NSW is deemed to be acceptance of the amended terms of use.

As a Reconciliation NSW Member you agree to act in accordance with Reconciliation NSW’s purpose, and not do anything, including conduct your organisation in any way, such that remaining a Reconciliation NSW member would bring Reconciliation NSW into disrepute. You acknowledge that Reconciliation NSW will determine at its discretion whether your conduct or the conduct of your organisation brings Reconciliation NSW into disrepute.

Membership eligibility

As a member of Reconciliation NSW you are required to satisfy (and continue to satisfy) certain eligibility criteria, including that you must:

  • have a genuine commitment to and understanding of Reconciliation NSW’s purpose (being support, educate and inspire the people of NSW to engage deeply in reconciliation and work towards a just and equitable community for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians in NSW);
  • pay any annual membership fee that may be required.

In the event that you no longer satisfy the eligibility criteria, or your situation otherwise materially changes from when you first applied for membership of Reconciliation NSW, you must notify us in writing on the details set out below as soon as possible.

Reconciliation NSW Constitution

As a member of Reconciliation NSW you agree to comply with the terms of Reconciliation NSW’s constitution.

Subject to your compliance with the member obligations and requirements, as a member you have certain rights under the constitution, including the right to:

  • vote at general meetings of Reconciliation NSW;
  • receive notices of and to attend and be heard at any general meeting of Reconciliation NSW; and
  • nominate one representative for election as a director (subject to the nominee satisfying certain criteria).

Benefits of Reconciliation NSW membership

As a member of Reconciliation NSW you are entitled to a range of benefits, including:

  • Promotion as a member on the Reconciliation NSW website
  • Access to Reconciliation NSW’s professional network to help drive your reconciliation aspirations
  • Potential support for development and implementation of RAPs

Use of Reconciliation NSW name or logo

Members are permitted to use the Reconciliation NSW name or logo in accordance with the Reconciliation NSW logo usage policy and logo kit. This will be made available to all new members on request.  Reconciliation NSW reserves the right to determine the parameters of logo usage and withdraw permission to use the Reconciliation NSW name or logo at any time, at its discretion.

Cancellation of Reconciliation NSW membership

Membership fees are cover Reconciliation NSW membership for a 12-month period from the date of payment of the membership fee.

You may cancel your Reconciliation NSW membership at any time by advising Reconciliation NSW in writing.

Generally where members cancel their Reconciliation NSW membership they will not receive a refund for the whole or part of any paid membership fee. Reconciliation NSW will only refund membership fees in exceptional circumstances. You acknowledge that all decisions by Reconciliation NSW as to whether to refund the whole or part of paid membership fees are made at the discretion of Reconciliation NSW.

In the event that you breach any term of this agreement, Reconciliation NSW reserves the right to cancel your Reconciliation NSW membership. You acknowledge that all decisions to cancel your membership are made by Reconciliation NSW in its absolute discretion. In the event that Reconciliation NSW cancels your membership for breaching a term of this agreement, you acknowledge that you will not receive a refund for the whole or part of any paid membership fee.

In the event that your membership is cancelled either at your request or as a result of your breach of this agreement, you acknowledge that both you and your employees will cease to be entitled to any benefits associated with being a Reconciliation NSW Member, including any right to use the Reconciliation NSW name or logo as previously approved by Reconciliation NSW.

All notifications and requests to Reconciliation NSW must be made by email: info@reconciliationnsw.org.au or telephone: (02) 8095 9600 as appropriate having regard to the nature of the request.

Privacy policy

Reconciliation NSW is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience. Reconciliation NSW is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which sets out a number of principles concerning the privacy of individuals.

Collection of your personal information

There are many aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, for access to Reconciliation NSW membership you are required to submit personally identifiable information.

Sharing of your personal information

We may occasionally hire other companies to provide services on our behalf, including but not limited to handling membership or customer support inquiries and communications, processing transactions or customer freight shipping. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. Reconciliation NSW takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.

Use of your personal information

For each visitor to reach the site, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, understanding our membership base, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this site.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Reconciliation NSW reserves the right to make amendments to this Privacy Policy at any time, and you will be notified in writing. If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the site.

Accessing Your Personal Information

You have a right to access your personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. Reconciliation NSW reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information on a per request basis.

Pricing Policy

All of our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST (Goods and services tax), except donations which are GST free.
